Anna Gunn
Anna Gunn (born in America) is an American actor. Her best-known role is Skyler White on the AMC Drama Breaking Bad, for which she won the Primetime Emmy Award in 2013 and in 2014 in the category of Outstanding supporting actress in the Drama Series. Her other roles are Jean Ward in The Practice and Martha Bullock from Deadwood. Anna Gunn, born 1968 in Sante Fe New Mexico fell in love with acting in Preparatory before her Family moved to Ohio. She studied theatre at Northwestern University and spent a year at the British American Drama Academy. Anna began her journey in Chicago and worked in theater roles for many years. Then she moved to Hollywood and began acting in films and TV shows. Anna got her big break in the year 1992, when she portrayed Arden in 29 episodes of Down the Shore. Anna continued to appear in movies and TV series such as Seinfeld, NYPD Blue and others up to the late 1990's. She was then selected for The Practice as Jean Ward. Martha Bullock was her role in Deadwood in two full seasons. The show was recast as Skyler in Breaking Bad as Skyler, in the year 2008. Sully as well as Deadwood were also part of her acting career. Gunn appeared on stage for David Schwimmer's Sex With Strangers. She also appeared in the four-part podcast audio drama called Numbered Days, which was released in 2022. The relationship that exists between Walter White and his wife Skyler is usually the main focus of the story of Breaking Bad with the strained pull on their relationship and eventually its demise echoing the same storyline of Walter White's last years of life.
