Christopher Peter Meloni was an American actor best well-known for his part in the popular television show Law & Order Special Victims Unit'. While at college, Christopher Meloni has been fascinated by the world of acting. He studied acting at University of Colorado at Boulder. Though he has been active in both films and television, it is his characters in the smaller screen which gave him popularity and much admirers. The actor has the ability to play characters from both the bad and good sides in the law enforcement system. He is able attract the attention of his audience effortlessly. He played the serial killer role in his first television project as well as later portrayed as an NYPD detective. In recognition of his performance in the small screen, he's been up for nomination many times for the highly coveted Emmy Awards. The most appealing feature of his face is said to be his piercing blue eyes, which are considered to be his trademark. They helped in portraying the rough and savage characters with a sense of humour. In 2006, he appeared in the People's magazine's Sexiest Men Alive list.
